Who can possibly really speak of the Mystery of the third person of the Holy Trinity. W can not see Him and yet we can know Him, just as we can not see the wind but we can see what it does.
As a young Anglican about thirteen years old I always loved singing the hymns to the Holy Spirit, not realising that as we worshipped He was drawing me into His presence gently awakening and waiting patiently for me to respond.
At that time in my life also, my brother and I would usually be sent to Evensong. There would be a precious moment at the end of the service when the Vicar would pronounce the Blessing, the silence that followed would be profoundly filled with the Love of God which ended all too soon as the people stirred and began to leave. These were moments of Grace given by the Holy Spirit to a lonely and unhappy child to comfort and strengthen. Not for nothing was He named by Jesus as " The Comforter or Strengthener"
